April 24, 2023: Climate-Resilient project rolls out training and workshop for the Municipality of Dapa
The training and workshop have attended by different sectors of the LGU (DRRM, BFP, RHU, and others) and other TWGs (PCG, DEPED, and others) of the municipality of Dapa. The morning session is for foundation building related to weather and tropical cyclones through the Weather, Climate, and Tropical Cyclone 101 training, which enhances the participants’ knowledge and understanding to weather and tropical cyclone. The training session opens the eyes and mind of the participants to different misconceptions and clarifications to the unexplainable experiences in the local weather in their area.
In addition, the participants underwent a dashboarding workshop through the Enterprise Web Application Training in the afternoon. The participants had a hands-on experience with the system. The rollout of the Enterprise Web Application will allow the DRRM of the Municipality of Dapa to exercise and maximize their decision-making and preparedness in times of a disastrous event.
In line with the training and workshop, the project also turnovers laptop and Wi-Fi routers to the DRRM of the LGU, in which will help them to build their weather and climate command center using digital and innovative solutions.
