April 19, 2023: The project rolls out training and workshop for the Municipality of Burgos in Siargao Island.
Different sectors (MDRRM, MENRO, RHU, BFP, and other stakeholders) from the Municipality of Burgos underwent a series of training sessions. They have undergone a foundation building of weather and tropical cyclone through the Weather, Climate, and Tropical Cyclone 101 Training, which enhances the participants’ knowledge and understanding of weather and tropical cyclones. The training session opens clarification to the participants on the different misconceptions and also their experiences in the local weather in their area. In addition, the same TWGs underwent a dashboarding session in the afternoon for the rollout of the Enterprise Web Application. They had a hands-on experience with the Komunidad Enterprise Web Application system.
In line with this event, the project team turnovers laptop and a Wi-Fi kit to the DRRM of the municipality, which will help them to build their weather and climate command center using digital solutions.
